Accidents Happen

When Daddy is around there is a lot more wrestling, running, jumping and rough-housing and of course with all of those things accidents happen. Kyan had been gone the last couple days and when he got home the amigo's were wild and wanting the rumpus to start!! I am not quite sure what game was being played maybe the "blob" ( Kyan goes under a blanket and as the kids run by he sucks them into the blob tickles them and spits them out from under the blanket) Maybe it was just an ol' fashion race, or jumping from the table to the couch not sure.

I was sure however that something bad happened when I heard Khloe say. "OW that really hurt!!" There was a silent loooong pause and then a scream! Te I hold my breath until I can unleash the war cry kind of scream. It was Caleb poor Caleb. Some how is lip met her knee and the rest is history...game over!

After his lip had stopped bleeding and a few minutes passed I was able to with out guilt take a few sweet pictures of his first fat lip.

At least it happened during a game and not a fight!

Cutest Tush in Town

There is really nothing like a baby, is there? I can't think of any other feet I would like to kiss or put in my mouth to munch. No other nose I would wipe with my bear fingers. No other open mouth I would let give me a slobbery, droolie kiss and NO other tush in town that I love more than this one...well except the other 2 amigos, but you get it. There is nothing like a baby.

I was watching sweet Pia crawl across the floor that tiny little tush rocking side to side with every pitter patter step. It is so cute! I often think of how she feels like warm homemade bread, so soft and squishy like a buttery dinner roll. There is truly nothing like a baby.

With this being my last child I can't help but soak in the babyness that surrounds her. The little lips that pout just right, the button nose, the big blue eyes the buttery cheeks, the swollen belly that fits perfectly into the palm of my hand and never needs sucked in. The square puffy feet that have never walked, the ruff patches on her knees that crawl miles before they straighten out to walk and that tiny tush, that sweet sweet nothing like it babyness.

SnOw DaY

after the snow for hot coco
cooling it off
snowflake princess
he was cold and yes a little bit cranky
BOOTS
cheesing it up for the snow
snow kissed
BOOTS
trying to catch flakes

Today we woke up to a very light dusting of snow on the ground. Fingers crossed that the afternoon would bring more flakes, maybe even enough to cover the ground. After Khloe and I finished school and Caleb woke up from his nap, heavier larger flakes began to fall.

The ground was by no means covered but it was still fun to have the little bit we got.

Tower of babel, what I want to know?

I had to write this so I won't forget. Khloe at dinner tonight asked me, "Before the Tower of Babel, did dogs speak english." I bust out laughing, she said, "What, I want to know. Was it dogs and animals too or just people? I mean, I know it wasn't trees in' stuff."

SOOOOOO stickin' cute!!

Homeschool days

The daily grind...
Hard at work copying her weekly Proverb. This week is Proverbs 11:25
What other little girl gets to bring her dog to school everyday?

Back from break! YES, homeschooler's get Christmas break too ;) I am sure Mom's that have their kids in school have an adjustment period for when their kids are out of school and home and then of course when they go back. Rushing around in mornings fixing lunches, combing hair, packing backpacks and the CARLINE!
Where I don't have those things I do have the motivation issue. Over break it was nothing for us to be in PJ's till noon or all day for that matter. Eat breakfast watch TV relax do nothing or everything except for SCHOOL! Monday however we got back to the daily grind, I gave myself a little pep talk Sunday night! It didn't help of course that husband left that day for 7 days after being gone more than home the month of December. I read over the lesson plans and actually counted how many days we have left...geez we may in school til July (JK Mom, we are on track, its just a LONG track)
I did notice today Wednesday that it hasn't been that hard to get back to it. I have started doing some activities with Caleb so he has officially started school too. He is enjoying it and so is Khloe. Who wouldn't like school when every time you do something right you have a cheering section (Khloe and I) and high fives around the house!
I am more than pleased with how schooling Khloe has gone so far. I never in a million years would have imagined I would be doing it but here we are and it is going GREAT! Half way through and running strong!
