Darlin' don't you ever grow up

 

Today laying on our big chair chatting with my soon to be 8 year old who everyday right in front of me grows older and older, taller and taller and more and more into a more beautiful young lady!  I happened to look down and this is the exact face I saw smiling back up at me joking, talking laughing.  I had to snap a photo as I always do to remember this sweet face and our chair talks.  Sun-kissed legs kicked over the edge my sweet girl cradled in the big chair.

I LOVE these feet!  It is hard to imagine that one day I won't want to kiss every little toe.

I'm just glad that today is not that day and that these little feet, like ducks in a row follow me

wherever I go.

Dry Gulch USA

 

This year at the young age of 7 almost 8 Khloe went away for 5 nights and 6 days to Dry Gulch USA

summer camp!  She went with several girls from our church, but other than that had never spent the night with anyone other than family.  She had been excited to leave for camp all spring ever since they started to advertise in Sunday school.  

 

Here she is the night before leaving all snuggled up on the couch with her blanket still looking SO YOUNG could she really last the whole 6 NIGHTS????

 

I had asked family to write letters to her she had a stack thanks everyone you all are the BEST!  I will say she came with some up opened letters.  She said she was saving them but she LOVED all her mail and the pictures and stickers everyone sent!

 

Here we are the next morning packing up her suitcase and checking the list for all the things she needed to bring.  We didn't forget anything but I guess she could have used a few more outfits and an couple more bathing suits...next time ;)

finally all packed in her pink suitcase everything fit! They have to carry their own bags so I didn't want it to be anything she couldn't handle.  This girl is a solider though she would have found a way!

 

Uh-oh before sissy left a little mouse had already made "home" in  her bed.  When the cats away the mouse will play!

 

Headed to check in for summer camp for the first time heart racing!!!

We got out of the car and she looked at me and said I'm getting a little nervous.  I said that's fine we will take our time it's going to be great!  We started to walk up to the check-in line and saw her bunk mate Nora. Lice check- PASS!  Every child is checked for lice ;)

The bus was pulling away and I'm not gonna lie I wanted to say wait I CHANGE MY MIND!!!!!!

I am a CHILD of GOD!  She asked to stay three more days!!! Had a blast we heard nothing but chats and storied for the next week!!! I loved every minute!!

But we were so glad our silly girl was back

 

She wanted hotdogs, corn on the cob and mac n cheese for dinner as.you.wish.

Cheer 2011/2012

  

Khloe has been cheering for JDA for 2 years now!

This is her friend McKinnley that she has known since Kindergarten we carpooled with them to

cheer every Monday all this year.  This is the girls in second grade cheer

Khloe did great her recital when it was over she said, "I can't wait to that again! It felt SO GOOD!"  I was shocked at how great she really was!  She got up there and ROCKED the stage!!  Whipping her ponytail back and fourth and cheering her little heart out! #oneproudmomma

Growing Up

I looked at my little boy the other day and he didn't look so little.  I couldn't tell if it was the shaved head I just gave him or the basketball clothes he wears that make him look like his Dad.  Maybe the shoes that make his feet look SO BIG but they really do fit, or the bike that really doesn't fit but boy he can "really shred that thang" his words now mine, but I totally agree he really can shred that thang! I got the chance to take him for a short date the other day just he and I.

He road shotgun this was his face when he found out I agreed to take him to Sonic.  He wanted Cherry Limeade and french fries. as.you.wish.

After Sonic he said he just wanted to go home I thought me to we are all pretty much home bodies. On our way home he was my co pilot he that means he gives me ALL the directions I don't make a turn unless he tells me to make it!  He did great and we made it home safe and sound except we did see a lady swerve and totally wipe out a sign, smash the whole side of her car and crash into nothing probably texting :(
