I can't believe another year has come and gone and with that my baby girl has turned 1. I can't say it seems like yesterday because it doesn't. With all of my children once they arrive it's as though they've always been here. When I think she has only been with us a year it feels like longer but when I think that she was a newborn a year ago it seems like yesterday. I guess that is hard to explain or make sense of but it's how I feel.

My husband and I are complete opposites in certain ways and in others we are exactly the same. It can makes life "interesting" at times but in the end I think it's whats keeps us close, interested and most importantly madly in love :)

Birthday's and Holiday's for instance. He doesn't care to give or receive presents, cards, flowers etc.. being married to me he has tried to catch on and bless his heart as hit gold a few times but those times are limited. He doesn't care about celebrating anything. I care about celebrating everything!!! I love parties, presents, giving, receiving, cake, balloons, ice cream the whole kitten kaboodle.

I will say I think birthday parties have gotten completely out of control!! I am glad our check book only a lot's for the essentials because if it didn't I would be one of those people OOC!! Yes okay okay I tried to talk Kyan into mini pony rides at my daughters 3rd birthday! What 3 year old doesn't LOVE a pony ride?! Anyway we have learned to meet in the middle, keeping birthday tradition the #1 thing! Eating off the "special plate" picking your food for the day, giving presents, cake and of course the breakfast cupcake!!

Caleb this year though has befriended, well we have all befriended a family of 4 boys! They are the coolest. SO with my 3 and her 4 we had a party!!! Caleb had a great time, it was all boys except for his 2 sisters and the Mommies. He had a great time dancing, eating and having everything all about him and his friends! It was perfect!

Today is his birthday, were gonna have a great time!!!!

Today my baby boy turned 4! Yes 4!! He came into our world and rocked it and has been rockin' it ever since! We love our lil dude!

Being a home school Mom there are certain things I don't want my kids to miss out on not being part of an actual school. We have an amazing group of friends that home school so lucky for them they don't have to miss out on a lot!

My dear friend Amie usually opens up her home to host all of our wonderful home school parties. This is the 1st annual Valentine party... home school style!

The mid west just got dumped on! I don't even know how much snow we actually got but it is amazing. I think it broke the record for our state. I grew up with snow cold weather and winter 7 months out of the year. I now live far from home and we are lucky to get a couple inches a year.

This week though has been amazing. I look out my windows and I would swear I was anywhere but here. The streets are covered in snow. I haven't bee able to get my car out the driveway for 5days or more.

It is fun though knowing this will probably be once in a lifetime. A friend told me about a fun snow activity I had never heard of. Making ice cream out of snow. My children are young and they love the snow but I was so unprepared. All we have are rain boots, only one of children has a "real" coat and our gloves are fleece for warmth not waterproof for snow. So this was the perfect activity for us.

We knew a storm was coming through the night but we had no idea what we would wake up to the next morning. This morning we looked out the window to see TONS I mean TONS of snow! We were so unprepared with gear. I had gone to the store and gotten food etc... but we have no sleds no snow pants etc... I did my best with what we have because the kids wanted to go on a snow hike. They started this last Christmas when we were in PA visiting my parents.

My father LOVES to hike and he loves to take the kids when we come. Normally it is spring, summer fall but we did manage to head back last year for Christmas. He took them on their normal spring hike but this time it was covered in snow thus the snow hike. Living in OK we rarely get snow and we NEVER get it like this!

Anyway I got out all the gear I could to pile on them and off we went into the winter wonderland. Caleb buried waist deep in snow soon realized this pretty white fluffy stuff was a lot cooler when it wasn't down his boots covering his legs and falling to the point he couldn't see. We made it to the end of our driveway not kidding probably 15ft before everyone was following me back inside I was going to get the camera they were coming back in!

So the snow hike was very short to the end of the driveway and back 30ft tops! Oh well Daddy made chili we ordered Secretariat on paper view and had a wonderful day trapped inside enjoying the snow through the windows.

Oh the title for this blog is what Caleb said to me when he was up extra early this morning at a little before 7. We got to open the front door and check out the snow before all the other sleepy heads and he said WOW MOmmy that is AW. SOME so cute love that little dude!

Accidents Happen

When Daddy is around there is a lot more wrestling, running, jumping and rough-housing and of course with all of those things accidents happen. Kyan had been gone the last couple days and when he got home the amigo's were wild and wanting the rumpus to start!! I am not quite sure what game was being played maybe the "blob" ( Kyan goes under a blanket and as the kids run by he sucks them into the blob tickles them and spits them out from under the blanket) Maybe it was just an ol' fashion race, or jumping from the table to the couch not sure.

I was sure however that something bad happened when I heard Khloe say. "OW that really hurt!!" There was a silent loooong pause and then a scream! Te I hold my breath until I can unleash the war cry kind of scream. It was Caleb poor Caleb. Some how is lip met her knee and the rest is history...game over!

After his lip had stopped bleeding and a few minutes passed I was able to with out guilt take a few sweet pictures of his first fat lip.

At least it happened during a game and not a fight!
